New Visions students must be college bound, motivated, trustworthy, and be successful in an academically competitive curriculum. Students must demonstrate an interest and desire to learn about the program to which they are applying. New Visions students must successfully complete a minimum of 3 years of Regents coursework and be on track to graduate with a Regents or Advanced Regents Diploma by the end of 11th grade.
High School Juniors from TST BOCES component school districts (Candor, Dryden, Groton, Ithaca, LACS, Lansing, Newfield, South Seneca and Trumansburg) may apply to a New Visions program. Acceptance into a New Visions program is very competitive, and selection is based upon:
- Academic Courses and Grades Earned
- Teacher and Counselor Recommendations
- Interview
- Attendance
- Essay
